my neck…

In elementary school people used to call me giraffe neck since my neck was long compared to the rest of me. i used to feel like my head stuck out awkwardly from my body and since I was the tallest girl in 6th grade, I would try to slouch and lower my neck. And then everyone else kept on growing while i stayed 5'2" so my long neck is now one of my favorite features. Hey, african women prize long necks, it’s a sign of status and elegance for them.
