personification of gadgets

does any 1 else name their electronics, gadgets and such? maybe this is just a nerdy thing to do, but i name mine.

g5: gromit
mobile: shaun the sheepie
ipod: cheese
35mil: jiří [pronounced yir-ee]
digital slr: tavish
car: giovanni

everything computery has a wallace-&-gromit-related name. my 35mil is named after jiří hanke, an amazing photographer i met while i was studying in prague. i wanted to give my digital slr a scottish name since i studied in scotland as well. tavish means twin, and my 2 cameras are basically twins because they share the same lenses.

alright, enough nerdiness. but i know you name yours, too! if so, feel free to share the names.

comments:

desktop g4: Laden (German for "shop" as in "shoppe"); Breve (the perfect drink for latte art); and Slate (a color I always appreciate for its black/white ambiguity) - I have several hard drives in the desktop, thus justifying the many names
laptop g4: Violet ("Violet, you're turning violet, Violet!")
white iPod: Riona (Latin for "queen-like" as in a queen-to-be)
iPod shuffle: Alles (German for "everything")
canon: Tripod
mobile: Numquam ("nothing" in Latin)

I suppose I just use words I like or somehow incorporate sounds that are satisfying for me to say and to hear. "Laden" seems to fall write off of my lips and "Riona" makes my knees weak.
