250,000 bouncy balls

i had heard about thousands of bouncy balls being let go on the streets of san francisco, but i had no idea what for. while i was watching tv in england, i had my answer: an advert for bravia, a sony lcd with colour “like no other.”

they used 250,000 bouncy balls and zero computer graphics for the advert. dropping all those balls down a hilly street in san francisco is probably a fantasy many people had as children. the advert is really gorgeous; sony definitely met their goal of delivering a “really simple, visual celebration of colour.”
