a visit to t.dot
last week jimmy & i went to toronto. the city had quite a number of inches of snow dumped on it right before we arrived on thursday afternoon, so this was the scene at the airport after we landed:

the main reason for our trip was the techtv holiday meet-up. i haven’t been around such a high concentration of nerds since i graduated from carnegie mellon. at the meet-up there were people such as leo laporte, amber macarthur, and mike lazazzera from call for help, as well as the rest of the command n* gang and people from other various vidcasts. i unfortunately never got to meet leo because there was always a throng of people around him, and he left around 9pm. boo hoo.
everyone i did meet was nice and of course nerdy [which on many levels is a plus]. besides the hosts from the different shows, vidcasts and websites, fans were there as well. also, jimmy & i got to do a little promo for call for help. [we’ll see if they actually use it.] we also received some nice techtv schwag. even though i was mostly just tagging on with jimmy since he’s a fan of cfh & command n, it was still fun.
